Captain Ryan Spear
"I started working on boats as a child with my father who owned a local OBX scuba diving shop and charter boat. I fell in love with being on the ocean at an early age and the obsession has only grown stronger. After working on boats in the diving and fishing industry I was able to acquire my USCG 100 Ton masters license. " Capt. Ryan has been fishing the waters off North Carolina his whole life." I invite you to come spend a day with me on the ocean.

X-Spearmint Sport fishing offers great trips for all, from children who have never fished to experienced and seasoned anglers. Capt Ryan has been fishing these waters his whole life, and knows the best spots to take his customers.
His trips are a great way for the younger generation to get involved with fishing, as Capt. Ryan will teach them step by step how to fish. The 4 hour inlet trips are perfect for first time fishermen to quickly learn and use these techniques to get hooked up. This is a great introduction to saltwater fishing.
Your Family on Board
The boat also comes with many comforts of home, such as an enclosed private restroom, and plenty of storage in the bow to keep all your belongings dry. There are 2 large ice-boxes on board, one for the fish you will catch, and one for your drinks and food. You are welcome to bring any snacks you fancy for your trip including alcoholic beverages, but remember to bring plenty of water.
